Yesterday in court, Mr. Dwayne Carter, famously known as rapper, Lil Wayne has plead guilty to federal gun charges from an incident back in December 2019. If you recall, the superstar’s jet was searched by federal agents in Miami after receiving an anonymous tip. Agents discovered a gold plated .45 caliber Glock handgun on board in a duffle bag. The rapper was charged with a count of possession of a firearm and ammunition as a felon. By law convicted felons are not permitted to carry a firearm. Lil Wayne faces up to 10 years, as he has a prior felony conviction back in 2007 for gun charges as well. Carter only served 8-months before his release. He is scheduled to be sentenced on January 28,2021.
