Rihanna recently released her eighth album under Def Jam entitled, Anti. The album has already gone platinum and her first album single,“Work” featuring Drake sits in the number one slot on the Billboard 200. This song makes it Rih’s 14th number one hit, which surpasses the King of Pop Legend, Michael Jackson. The Beatles still sit in the number one spot with 20 number one hits followed by Mariah Carey and Elvis Presley who’re tired with 18!
Since the hit has blazed the Billboard charts, the duo has released a steamy video for the number one hit “Work” that has rumors flying. Let’s back track a little bit. This is the first time Rihanna and Drake have collaborated together since 2012 with Drake’s, “Take Care”. The two artist also steamed up the press with their relationship and single ,”What’s My Name”! This past weekend they were spotted leaving a club in London, separately! Hmmm. Rumors have it that the couples on again, off again but right now it seems to be ON!
Representing for the Bajans out here! Keep up the grind Rih!
The latest season of VH1’s Love and Hip Hop Hollywood aired it’s reunion episode part 1 last night. Words, insults and physical bodies were flying. The biggest explosion of the night, was the three way ring battle, between Moniece Slaughter and cast mates, Brandi Boyd and Shanda Taylor (both seen below).
The two woman commented on Moniece’s dedication as a parent without giving her an opportunity to speak her peace. The reunion is a space to hash out drama from throughout the season, however, when it comes to the matter of children…Stay in your lane, its simple. Nobody should be speaking on anyones parental situation, especially when all the information isn’t provided. Moniece, has made many sacrifices in order to bring her son into this world. Has she gone through some thing? Yes. Has she had issues with being able to parent the way she wanted to at a time. Yes. Moniece, is a human being at the end of the day. She, like everyone else has experienced many hardships growing up between herself and her parents. Everyone handles this in their own way. Brandi and Shanda just felt the need to chime in at the wrong time and speak before listening. Previews show that things will only get spicier in part 2. Stay tuned!
Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood cast member, Moniece Slaughter was on the East coast in the Big Apple recently and took the time out to chat with Miss Kai’s Juice. Moniece, is more than just the mother to the child of former B2K group member, Lil Fizz (Dreux) . She’s a loving mother of Kameron first, she’s also, a singer, an entrepreneur and REAL. While being on Love and Hip Hop, Moniece experienced many ups and downs as she expected. Struggling to maintain your identity in the public eye, due to lack of full stories being told and being frustrated with the production teams being around 24 hours practically. What was unexpected of her was, the many positives she gained, better communication with Dreux and even mended her relationship with her mother. Aside from reality television, Moniece is a singer and business woman.
Before the show came along and before Dreux, she was always in music but she also feels as though she wasted a lot of time when she was younger and now she knows what to do and not do. She’s back in the music game and is currently working on an EP. As an artist, she says she falls somewhere between R & B and Urban Pop and describes her style like a, Prince and Rihanna fusion. On the business side of things, she’s in the early stages of producing her own adult toy line. Some of the toys will have heat features and she plans to produce a lubrication and lingerie as well. Know that Miss Kai’s Juice will support both projects. Moniece says, through it all, she would definitely do Love and Hip Hop Hollywood again. Good luck to all of your upcoming endeavors!!!!
